Ghana is participating in the Future Minerals Forum 2026 (FMF26) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of a high-level global engagement aimed at advancing responsible and technology-driven mineral development.

The forum kicked off today and runs from January 13 to 15, bringing together global stakeholders to shape the future of the minerals sector.

FMF26 is convening high-level Leadership Roundtables focused on Africa, Central Asia, and Latin America—regions that are rich in mineral resources but remain underrepresented in global minerals governance and supply chain decision-making.

These exclusive roundtables are designed to bring together governments, investors, and industry leaders from resource-rich countries to unlock new partnerships, shape regional strategies, and build a unified voice in the global minerals conversation, with the broader objective of creating a unified global minerals movement.

Ghana is being represented at the forum by  Yusif Sulemana, Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, and Mr. Isaac Tandoh, Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Commission.

The forum provides a platform for Ghana and other participating countries to identify opportunities to advance responsible mineral development driven by innovation and technology, attract investment, and strengthen partnerships that support economic diversification and sustainable mineral supply chains.

Discussions at FMF26 are expected to focus on aligning mineral development policies with global best practices on environmental responsibility, governance, and value addition, as demand for critical minerals continues to grow worldwide.
