According to GIISDEC, the MRE will involve detailed geological investigations, data analysis and resource estimation to establish the extent and characteristics of the iron ore deposit.

The corporation said the work forms part of its efforts to advance the exploration and development of Ghana’s strategic iron ore assets and generate technical information to inform future investment and development decisions.

GIISDEC said it is pursuing the development of Ghana’s iron ore resources through systematic exploration, strategic partnerships and technical studies aimed at supporting industrial development.
