Atlantic Lithium sees bright future for Ewoyaa as lithium prices surges

Atlantic Lithium Limited has highlighted a surge in global lithium prices as a major tailwind for its flagship Ewoyaa Lithium Project in Ghana.
Speaking on the company’s quarterly report for the period ended 31 December 2025, CEO Keith Muller emphasized that the rising demand and improved market sentiment significantly strengthen the commercial prospects of the project.
“Spodumene concentrate prices have climbed sharply from around US$800 per tonne in mid-October 2025 to approximately US$2,200 per tonne today,” Muller said. “This reflects a robust demand profile for lithium products and positions Ewoyaa to attract improved funding options at a crucial stage in the project’s development.”
Located approximately 100 km southwest of Accra, the Ewoyaa project is poised to become Ghana’s first operational lithium mine. The project has already received key permits, including an Environmental Protection Authority permit and a Mine Operating Permit.
The revised Ewoyaa Mining Lease has now been submitted to Parliament, and ratification would mark the final regulatory step before the project moves toward production.
Muller expressed confidence that the parliamentary approval process would proceed smoothly, highlighting that the project’s fiscal terms are aligned with Ghana’s current legislation on royalties and sustainability levies.
“With all regulatory approvals secured, we are excited about advancing Ewoyaa toward a final investment decision,” he said.
The company also noted ongoing exploration successes in its Côte d’Ivoire licences, but it is clear that the global lithium boom and the potential for Ghana’s first lithium-producing mine are central to Atlantic Lithium’s growth strategy.
