Isaac Tandoh, CEO of Ghana’s Minerals Commission, will be among the speakers at Mining Indaba 2026, one of the world’s leading mining conferences, taking place in Cape Town, South Africa, this February.
The event brings together industry leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss emerging trends and innovations shaping the future of mining.
Tandoh is a renowned mining engineer and strategic leader with extensive experience in surface mining, mine planning, and operations management.
His career spans leadership roles at major mining companies, including Goldfields, AngloGold, and Newmont, where he gained hands-on expertise in both owner-operated and contract mining models.
Holding a BSc in Mining Engineering from the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) in Ghana, an MSc in Mining Engineering Management from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology (SDSMT), and an MBA in Corporate Finance from Walden University, Tandoh combines technical mastery with financial acumen.
He is also a Certified International Commercial Contracts Manager, underscoring his broad expertise in mining operations and contracts management.
At the Minerals Commission, Tandoh has been instrumental in driving operational efficiency, sustainable resource development, and the adoption of advanced mining technologies, ensuring Ghana’s mineral sector remains competitive on both local and global stages.
