Ghanaian mining services firm Rabotec Group has been engaged as the mining services provider for the Kiniero Gold Project in Guinea, in partnership with Robex Gold, marking a major expansion of its operations in West Africa.

The Kiniero Gold Project, located about 440 kilometres east-northeast of Conakry, is a long-life open-pit operation comprising multiple mining zones.

Rabotec’s scope of work includes load and haul services, production drilling, crusher feeding, waste dump management and mine dewatering.

The company says it is deploying industry best practices at the site, including its Integrated Safety Management System, advanced fleet management technologies and real-time operator fatigue monitoring tools. Rabotec reported zero lost-time injuries over the past 15 months of current mining operations.

As part of its local content strategy, Rabotec has built a workforce that is 97 per cent local, with 418 employees, supported by structured training progammes aimed at developing sustainable mining skills within host communities.

Mining operations at Kiniero commenced following phased mobilisations in July and November 2025, with full operations now underway. The company said the project builds on its recent performance at Ghana’s Asanko Gold Mine, where it exceeded 2024 production targets.

The Kiniero engagement further strengthens Rabotec Group’s position as a leading African mining services provider, with operations across Ghana, Guinea, Mali, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
