GRIDCo explores collaboration with Genser after Prestea Plant visit

Management of the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo), led by Chief Executive Ing. Mark Baah, has paid a working visit to Genser Energy’s Prestea Gas Conditioning Plant as part of efforts to deepen collaboration within Ghana’s energy sector.
The visit enabled the GRIDCo team to gain first-hand insight into Genser’s expanding operations and ongoing developments at the midstream facility, which is designed to process up to 135 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscf/d) of natural gas.
During the tour, the delegation engaged with engineers and technical staff and observed progress on the plant’s infrastructure and processing systems.

The Prestea facility plays a key role in conditioning and supplying natural gas to support power generation and industrial activities.

Ing. Mark Baah commended Genser Energy for the strides made in advancing the project and strengthening domestic gas infrastructure. He emphasized the importance of continued partnerships across the energy value chain to enhance reliability and sustainability.

“GRIDCo looks forward to future collaborations in the quest to strengthen Ghana’s energy value chain, and a sustainable and reliable power for every Ghanaian, and our neighbouring partners,” he stated.

The visit underscores ongoing efforts by key industry players to coordinate investments and technical operations aimed at improving power supply stability and supporting Ghana’s broader energy security objectives.
