Cardinal Namdini boosts sports development in host communities with football equipment

Cardinal Namdini Mining Ltd. (CNML) has donated football equipment to six Junior High Schools in its host communities in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region as part of efforts to promote youth development through sports.
The beneficiary schools are located in Biung, Buugu, Datoko, Digaare, Sheaga and Tolla.
The donation included jerseys, footballs, football pumps, football boots, socks and kit bags to encourage sports participation, nurture young talent and promote teamwork and healthy lifestyles among pupils.
The presentation ceremony was attended by the Talensi District Chief Executive, John Millim Nabwomya, officials of the Ghana Education Service (GES), teachers, pupils and other stakeholders.


Speaking at the event, Vice President of Cardinal Namdini Mining Ltd., Xiao Sun, said the initiative forms part of the company’s commitment to supporting the holistic development of young people.
He noted that while education equips children with knowledge and skills, sports help instil discipline, teamwork, leadership, resilience and healthy living. He added that the donation represents an investment in the future of children in the company’s host communities.

The Talensi District Chief Executive commended Cardinal Namdini Mining for its continued support to communities in the district, particularly its host communities, and praised the company for demonstrating strong corporate responsibility.
According to CNML, the initiative reflects its broader commitment to supporting education, youth development and community empowerment through sustainable social investment programmes.
