Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng named speaker for Africa Energy Technology Centre 2026 conference

The Africa Energy Technology Centre (AETC) has announced Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng as one of the featured speakers for the AETC 2026 conference scheduled to take place from May 19 to 21, 2026, at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra.
Mr. Koranteng is a lawyer and experienced corporate and investment banker with more than 25 years of experience across the mining, investment and advisory sectors.
He is widely recognised for his advisory work within Africa’s mining industry, having served in lead advisory roles for multinational mining companies and sovereign institutions across the continent.
He currently serves as lead advisor to the Africa Mining and Commodities Fund and previously served on the boards of Asante Gold and Australia-based Atlantic Lithium.
Mr. Koranteng is also the former Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) of Ghana. During his tenure, the fund’s assets under management reportedly grew from approximately $195 million to nearly $1 billion within three years.
He has received several industry recognitions, including Ghana’s CEO of the Year for Investments in 2024 and CEO of the Year for the Minerals Sector in 2023. He has also earned international recognition for social impact and sustainability initiatives.
The AETC 2026 conference is expected to bring together stakeholders from the energy, mining, technology and investment sectors to discuss developments and opportunities within Africa’s energy transition and resource industries.
