Ghana: Asanko Gold appoints Justice Fenteng as General Manager
Asanko Gold Ghana Ltd has appointed Justice Fenteng as General Manager, an official statement has said.
His appointment took effect from 1 April 2026.
This appointment forms part of the company’s strategic realignment, reflecting a renewed focus on strong leadership, operational discipline, and sustainable growth.
Mr. Fenteng brings extensive mining leadership experience across Ghana and Australia, including his most recent role at Newmont Ghana Gold Ltd.
Between 2007 and 2013, he held senior leadership roles at three Australian operations: Rio Tinto Iron Ore, Karara Mining Ltd., and AngloGold Ashanti.
He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wolverhampton, a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Mining Engineering from the University of Mines and Technology.
He is also a Certified Mine Manager by the Minerals Commission of Ghana, a member of the Ghana Institution of Engineering, a Fellow of both the West African Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum and the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
