MIIF Partners Zijin on reforestation project in Subri Forest Reserve
The Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) has secured a partnership with Zijin Golden Ridge Limited to support its reforestation project in the Subri Forest Reserve in the Western Region.
MIIF announced the partnership after receiving a delegation from Zijin Golden Ridge Limited, which has agreed to support the initiative.
The project forms part of MIIF’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) agenda and is being implemented in partnership with the Forest Services Division of the Forestry Commission of Ghana.
The initiative is focused on restoring degraded portions of the Subri Forest Reserve while supporting the protection of ecosystems and forest-dependent livelihoods.
MIIF said the project is also intended to generate socio-economic benefits for communities located within forest zones.
The Fund said the collaboration reflects its commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible investment, with the partnership bringing together MIIF, Zijin Golden Ridge and the Forestry Commission to support forest restoration.
