Namibia’s President meets China’s CC7, contractor for Hyphen’s 3GW green ammonia plant
China National Chemical Engineering & Construction Corporation Seven (CC7), the Chinese state-owned engineering firm selected to design and build what is expected to become the world’s largest green ammonia plant in Namibia, held high-level talks with President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah during her state visit to China.
The meeting in Chengdu brought together senior Namibian government officials, Hyphen Hydrogen Energy executives and CC7 leadership to strengthen cooperation on the Hyphen Green Hydrogen Project, one of Africa’s largest renewable energy developments.
CC7 was awarded the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts by Hyphen Hydrogen Energy in 2025 for the project’s green ammonia production facility.
Hyphen Chief Executive Officer Marco Raffinetti said the engagement underscored the strategic partnership supporting Namibia’s ambition to become a global producer and exporter of green hydrogen and green ammonia.
