PETROSOL turns to Ghana Stock Exchange to raise GH¢200m for energy expansion

PETROSOL Platinum Energy PLC is set to list GH¢200 million worth of notes on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) Ghana Fixed Income Market on Monday, August 24, 2026, as the energy company seeks long-term capital to support its expansion.

The listing will comprise Series 1 and Series 2 notes under PETROSOL’s GH¢200 million Note Listing Programme.

The transaction represents a significant step in the company’s strategy to access Ghana’s capital market to finance the expansion of its operations in the oil marketing and renewable energy sectors.

PETROSOL had earlier disclosed plans to raise long-term capital through the GSE during an engagement with the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPA), led by its Chief Executive Officer, Simon Madjie.

The company said the capital-raising strategy is intended to support sustainable expansion and strengthen its position as a resilient Ghanaian energy company.

Established in 2006 as a petroleum business consultancy, PETROSOL has grown into a broader energy business with more than 100 fuel stations and a renewable energy subsidiary.

The company says it remains focused on providing reliable energy solutions, creating sustainable employment, maintaining tax and regulatory compliance, and adhering to international standards, including its triple ISO certification.

At the GIPA engagement, Mr. Madjie commended PETROSOL for its resilience, governance, compliance and commitment to industry best practices.

The planned GH¢200 million GSE note listing provides PETROSOL with an opportunity to mobilise longer-term domestic capital as it pursues growth in Ghana’s energy industry.
