AngloGold Ashanti plc says no conflict gold sourced from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) or adjoining countries was used at its Queiroz Refinery in Brazil during 2025.

The mining company disclosed this in a Specialized Disclosure Report on Form SD filed with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on May 27, 2026.

According to AngloGold Ashanti, it conducted a reasonable country-of-origin determination and concluded in good faith that no gold or gold-bearing material processed at the refinery originated from the DRC or neighbouring countries often associated with conflict mineral concerns.

The Queiroz Refinery forms part of the company’s Queiroz Plant in Brazil.

AngloGold Ashanti said the filing also outlines its compliance with the World Gold Council’s Conflict-Free Gold Standard for the year ended December 31, 2025.

The standard is designed to ensure that gold production and sourcing do not contribute to armed conflict, human rights abuses, or illegal armed groups in high-risk regions.

The company noted that the Form SD filing was made in line with its SEC disclosure and reporting obligations.
