Perseus Mining Limited has appointed Wade Bickley will join the company’s executive leadership team as Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective 1 June 2026.
Mr. Bickley will be based in Perseus’s Dubai office.
Mr. Bickley brings more than 25 years of industry experience, with extensive expertise in gold and base metals operations across Australia, West Africa and Southern Africa.
In recent years, he has held senior management and executive positions in the mining industry, leading complex mining operations, processing systems, major capital projects and operational turnaround initiatives.
He previously served as General Manager of AngloGold Ashanti’s Obuasi Mine in Ghana. Mr. Bickley has also held technical leadership and executive roles across several African mining operations and projects, including Head of Mining at Khoemacau for Cupric Canyon Capital, Lead and Head of Underground Mining for Anglo American, and Executive Head of Mining Technical at Anglo American Platinum. He joins Perseus from Appian Capital Base Metals, where he served as Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Bickley holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, both from the University of Queensland.
Perseus Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Craig Jones said the appointment would strengthen the company’s leadership team at a key stage of its growth.
“We are delighted to welcome Wade to Perseus, further enhancing our leadership team. Wade will lead our operations across Africa at this pivotal time as we ramp up our underground operations at Yaouré and bring Nyanzaga into production — one of Africa’s most significant new gold development projects,” Mr. Jones said.
“He has deep experience across mining, processing and production optimisation, as well as major capital project execution in complex, multi-jurisdictional African environments. We look forward to him applying his extensive operational expertise to drive performance and outcomes across our portfolio.”
The announcement was approved for release by Managing Director and CEO Craig Jones.
