EPA engages Tema fuel stations, LPG operators on Environmental Protection Act

The Greater Accra East Regional Office of Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) has  held a stakeholder engagement for Fuel Service Stations and LPG Retail Outlets in Tema and its environs.

The session focused on the new Environmental Protection Act, 2025 (Act 1124), permit compliance, and practical environmental, health, and safety measures.

Key issues discussed included spill prevention, waste oil management, air emissions, PPE requirements, and LPG safety systems. Operators were reminded to renew permits on time, use only licensed waste contractors, and ensure full staff training.
